Tasty Honey Pear Paste Recipe
Try this traditional Chinese honey pear paste, which is good for your lung and health for sure.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 90 minutes
Utensils:
Wok, sieve, grater, spoon, ramekin, serving bowl.
Ingredients:
5 slices ginger, peeled, cut into thin strips
5 tbsps. honey liquid
3.5 oz. / 100 g red jujubes, cut into half lengthwise, discard the cores
6 pears, about 50oz. / 1500 g, peeled, grated into fine crumbs with a grater
5oz. / 150 g rock candy
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients except honey liquid into the wok, turn on low heat and cover, let simmer for about 30 minutes.

2. Scoop up the paste from the wok with a sieve, pressing the back of a spoon to squeeze out the liquid, discard the ginger strips and other remaining things.
3. Simmer the liquid over low heat until thickens, which will take about 1 hour or so.
4. Turn off the heat, remove the paste from the wok to a ramekin, let sit till cold. Then stir into honey liquid andcombine to mix well.

Tips:
1. The thickness of the paste is easy to adjust to your taste by controling the time of cooking.
2. At Step 4, stir into the honey liquid until pear paste is totally chilled, otherwise the high tempreture may damage the nutrition.
3. Cover and keep in the refrigerator. Stir 1-2 tsps. pear paste with 1 cup warm water when wanted.
