Meat and Snow Pea Stir-fry Recipe

This delicious stir-fry recipe is a true China comfort food classic. It is the perfect way to use leftover meat, meanwhile you can use your favorite vegetable that you like.

Meat and Snow Pea Stir-fry Recipe


Prep time: 8 minutes
Total time: 15 minutes

Utensils:
Wok, plate.

Serves 2

Ingredients:
3.5 oz./ 100 g snow peas
7 oz. / 200 g pork, cut into strips
2 slices ginger
1 tbsp. chopped scallion
1 tbsp. chicken essence
1 tbsp. chili bean sauce
1 tbsp. rice wine, or dry sherry
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
2 tbsps. vegetable oil for stir-frying
Directions:
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, parboil the meat strips over high heat for about 2 minutes, or until the color turns white, drain well and set aside for later use.
2. Blanch the snow peas in boiling water until turns brighter green, which will take about 1-2 minutes, drain well and set aside.
3. Preheat a wok over medium heat for 30 seconds, then add 2 tbsps. vegetable oil and swirl to coat the surface until hot, saute briefly the chopped scallion and ginger until aromatic, add parboiled meat strips back into the wok, stirring, stir into 1 tbsp. chili bean sauce, stir to combine.

4. Add in the snow peas, swirl the rice wine, chicken essence, and light soy sauce into the wok, turn heat back to high and stir, tossing all together until cooked.

5. Remove from the wok to a plate, serve hot.
