Sticky Rice with Spareribs Recipe
You will enjoy the meaty spareribs coated with sticky rice in this simple recipe. It is simple to master and quick to make as well.

Ingredients:
7 oz./200 g sticky rice, soaked before needed
7 oz./200 g spareribs, cut into 2-inches sections
1 tbsp. minced ginger root
1-2 cups chicken stock
1 red pepper, seeded, diced
1 green pepper, seeded, diced
1 tsp. white sugar
1 tbsp. chicken essence
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
2 tbsps. vegetable oil for stir-frying
1 tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 4 tbsps. water in a bowl
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine spareribs with 1 tbsp. chicken essence, 1 tsp. salt, and 1 tbsp. minced ginger root together, let them marinate for 10 minutes.
2. Coat the marinated spareribs with soaked sticky rice lightly, then place on a plate.

3. Put a large pot of water on to a boil, put on the basket, then the plate, cover and cook over high heat for 20 minutes.
4. Heat a wok, add 1-2 cups chicken stock, red pepper, green pepper, and white sugar, bring to a gentle boil, swirl the cornstarch and water mixture into the wok, stirring quickly to thicken, glaze over the steamed apareribs evenly.

5. Serve hot.
