Crispy Prawn Deep-fry Recipe
This classic Chinese deep-fry recipe features the crispy prawn, combined with the fragrant ground black pepper and beer.

Serves 2
Ingredients:
10 oz./ 300 g prawn, peeled, deveined
1 tbsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsps. beer
5 tbsps. vegetable oil for deep-frying
Directions:
1. Add prawns, 1 tsp. salt, and 1 tbsp. ground black pepper in a bowl, stir to mix well, let set for 15 minutes.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup flour and 2 tbsps. beer, the batter should be thick, place the marinated prawns into the bowl, lightly coated.

3. Heat 5 tbsps. vegetable oil in a wok over high heat until it is shimmering on the bottom and very hot, but not yet smoking, deep fry the coated prawns until golden brown.

4. Drain in a colander and pat dry on kitchen papers, serve on a plate then.
