Honey Glazed Yam Recipe

Ingredients:
17oz. / 500 g yams
5oz./ 150 g white sugar
1 tbsp. chili bean sauce
Enough vegetable oil for deep-frying
Directions:
1. Rinse the yams, peel and cut into thin 1-inch long and 1/2-inch width strips, soak in water before needed.
2. Preheat a wok with enough vegetable oil until hot, cook yam strips until yellow, drain well and set aside for later use.
3. Add 1/2 cup water, about 125 ml. into a separate wok, add white sugar and cook until melts.
4. When the sugar thickens, add yam strips and 1 tbsp. chili bean sauce, stirring, cook for another 2 minutes, or until cooked.

5. Arrange neatly on a serving plate and serve hot.
