Ingredients:
18 oz./ 500 g lotus root
9 oz./ 250 g ground pork
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Seasoning A:
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tsp. Chinese rice wine, or dry sherry
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. white sugar
Seasoning B:
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tsp. Chinese rice wine, or dry sherry
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. white sugar
Directions:
1. Rinse the lotus root thoroughly through running water, remove any dirt or sand, then drain well, grate into small pieces with a grater.
2. In a bowl, combine the grated lotus root with seasoning A, and 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, mix well.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the ground pork with seasoning B and mix well, add into the grated lotus root and stir to mix well, let them marinate for 30 minutes.

4. Put a large pot of water on to a boil, put on the basket, then put the bowl on it, cover and steam for about 25 minutes, or until cooked.
5. Remove to a bowl and serve.
