Pork Asparagus Stir-fry Recipe
Made with asparagus and meat, this is a quick and nutritious stir-fry recipe for busy weeknights.

Serves 2
Ingredients:
7 oz./ 200 g asparagus
7 oz./ 200 g pork, cut into thin strips
2 garlic cloves
2 slices ginger
4 red hot chili peppers, seed, diced
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tsp. Chinese rice wine, or dry sherry
1 tbsp. chicken essence
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
2 tbsps. vegetable oil for stir-frying

Directions:
1. Cut the asparagus into bite-sized cubes according to the picture below, then cut each into halves.


2. Preheat a wok over medium-high heat for 30 seconds before adding 2 tbsps. vegetable oil, swirl the oil around the surface until hot, saute ginger and garlic cloves until atomatic, about 30 seconds, do not brown, then stir fry the meat strips over medium heat.

3. Add asparagus and chili peppers back into the wok when the meat turns white, stirring, stir into all the other seasonings while cooking, toss gently to mix everything together.
4. Remove from the heat to a plate, serve hot.
