1 small jalapeño, deseeded and finely chopped (optional, for spice)
-
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
-
1 lime, juiced (or more, to taste)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
-
¼ teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
- Extra lime wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Avocados:
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Mash the avocados to your desired consistency (smooth or chunky). -
Add the Veggies:
Stir in the diced red onion, chopped tomatoes, and jalapeño (if using). For milder guacamole, remove the seeds from the jalapeño before chopping. -
Season the Guacamole:
Add cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Optional: Add garlic powder and cumin for extra flavor depth. Taste and adjust seasoning with more lime juice, salt, or cumin if desired. -
Mix and Serve:
Stir everything together until well combined. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, sliced veggies, or as a topping for tacos or nachos. Garnish with extra lime wedges and cilantro if desired.
Notes
Variations: Add diced mango or pineapple for a tropical twist, roasted garlic for a richer flavor, for a smoky touch.Spicy: Add more jalapeño, cayenne pepper, or hot sauce for extra heat.Texture: For a chunkier guacamole, mash the avocados lightly and leave some larger pieces intact.
