Ingredients

1 cup fresh blueberries (plus extra for garnish)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

Instructions

Make Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and 1 cup water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until blueberries burst and syrup thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.

Strain Syrup: Strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve, pressing to extract juice. Discard solids and let syrup cool.

Mix Lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, blueberry syrup, and remaining 4 cups cold water. Stir well.

Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with fresh blueberries, lemon slices, and mint if desired. For a fizzy version, replace cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
Notes
