Description

Caramel Marshmallow Rice Krispie Balls are an indulgent, no-bake treat made with crispy Rice Krispies, gooey marshmallows, and rich caramel. These bite-sized balls are easy to make, customizable with toppings, and perfect for any occasion. Whether for a snack, party, or holiday treat, they’re sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows

  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional)

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (for extra gooeyness)

  • Optional: Chocolate chips, sprinkles, or nuts for rolling

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter and Marshmallows:
In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.

  2. Add the Caramel:
Stir in caramel sauce, vanilla extract, and salt (if using). Mix until well combined.

  3. Mix in the Rice Krispies:
Remove from heat. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow and caramel mixture. If adding mini marshmallows, fold them in now.

  4. Shape the Balls:
Let the mixture cool for 5-10 minutes to avoid burning your hands. Grease your hands with butter or cooking spray and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.

  5. Optional Coating:
Roll the balls in chocolate chips, sprinkles, or chopped nuts for extra texture and flavor.

  6. Cool and Set:
Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let them cool completely and firm up for about 30 minutes.

  7. Serve and Enjoy:
Once set, serve and enjoy these deliciously gooey treats with family and friends.

Notes

Variations: Try a chocolate drizzle on top, or add crushed nuts like pecans or almonds for crunch. For a s’mores twist, top with mini chocolate chips and a graham cracker piece.Vegan Version: Use dairy-free butter and marshmallows, along with a vegan caramel sauce, to make these treats vegan-friendly
