Description

Carrot Patch Dirt Cups are a fun, festive, and no-bake dessert perfect for spring and Easter celebrations. These delightful layered cups feature creamy pudding, chocolatey “dirt,” and candy carrots, making them a hit with kids and adults alike. A playful and customizable treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

For the Pudding Mixture:

  • 1 package (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers (for the dirt)

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Decoration:

  • 10-12 small candy carrots (or candy-coated chocolates)

  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles or crushed Oreos (for the dirt)

  • Optional: Green sour candy strips (for “grass”)

Instructions

  • Make the Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Let sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken.

  • Mix the Filling: Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and whipped topping until smooth and well combined.

  • Prepare the Dirt: In a separate bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with chocolate sprinkles or crushed Oreos to create the “dirt.”

  • Assemble the Cups: Layer the pudding mixture into individual serving cups or jars. Add a layer of “dirt” on top, pressing gently to pack it down.

  • Decorate the Carrot Patch: Place candy carrots on top of the “dirt,” arranging them to create a mini carrot patch. If desired, use green sour candy strips to create “grass” around the carrots.

  • Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.

  • Serve: Garnish with extra “dirt” before serving, and enjoy!
