These decadent treats are easy to make and perfect for any occasion, offering the best of both worlds in one delicious dessert. With a beautiful marbled effect, they are sure to impress at any gathering.

Ingredients

  • For the Brownie Layer:

    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

    • 1 cup granulated sugar

    • 2 large eggs

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

    • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

    • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • For the Cheesecake Layer:

    • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

    • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Make the Brownie Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Mix until well combined and smooth.

  • Make the Cheesecake Batter:
In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

  • Assemble the Brownies:
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture on top of the brownie batter. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the brownie batter, creating a marbled effect.

  • Bake:
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). Be careful not to overbake, as you want the brownies to remain fudgy.

  • Cool and Serve:
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares. Serve and enjoy!
