Instructions

Combine Cream Cheese and Extract:
Beat softened cream cheese and peppermint extract in a large bowl until smooth. -
Add Powdered Sugar:
Gradually add powdered sugar, about 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition until dough is stiff and no longer sticky. -
Add Color (Optional):
Divide dough and knead in food coloring as desired. -
Shape the Mints:
Roll dough into 1/2-inch balls and flatten gently with a fork or fingers onto parchment-lined baking sheets. -
Decorate (Optional):
Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles. -
Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set. -
Store:
Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
