Description

The Dubai Chocolate Bar is a luxurious homemade confection featuring crispy kataifi pastry combined with creamy pistachio and tahini filling, all encased in a smooth chocolate shell. This gourmet treat offers a delightful texture contrast and rich, nutty flavors perfect for special occasions or indulgent desserts.

Ingredients

  • Kataifi pastry (shredded phyllo dough)

  • Unsalted butter (for baking kataifi)

  • Pistachio cream

  • Tahini

  • Salt (a pinch)

  • High-quality dark or milk chocolate

Instructions

  • Prepare Kataifi: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread kataifi pastry evenly on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy. Cool completely.

  • Make Filling: In a bowl, mix pistachio cream, tahini, and salt until smooth. Fold in the cooled, crispy kataifi pastry gently to combine.

  • Melt Chocolate: Melt the chocolate gently in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.

  • Assemble Bars:

    • Pour a layer of melted chocolate into silicone molds (or lined molds), coating sides. Refrigerate until set.

    • Add the pistachio-kataifi filling into the molds, leaving space at the top.

    • Cover with a final layer of melted chocolate, smoothing the surface.

  • Set Bars: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chocolate is fully hardened.

  • Unmold and Serve: Carefully remove bars from molds and enjoy your homemade Dubai Chocolate Bars.

Notes

For best texture, ensure kataifi is completely cool before mixing with filling.Use tempered chocolate for a glossy finish and better snap.Customize with toppings like chopped pistachios, sea salt, or edible gold flakes before the final chocolate layer sets.
