Instructions

Mix the Base:
In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons milk, corn syrup, and vanilla or almond extract until smooth and glossy. -
Adjust Consistency:
Add a few drops of milk if too thick, or more powdered sugar if too thin. Use thick icing for outlining and thinner for flooding. -
Color the Icing:
Divide into bowls and mix in food coloring as desired. -
Decorate Cookies:
Use piping bags, squeeze bottles, or spoons to decorate cooled cookies. -
Set Icing:
Let cookies sit at room temperature for 1–2 hours or until the icing is fully set.
