Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or blend)

  • 4 oz cream cheese (optional, for creaminess)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 ½ cups bread crumbs (panko or regular)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix shredded cheese with cream cheese if using. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Form mixture into small balls; place on baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes.

  • Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs.

  • Roll each frozen cheese ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with bread crumbs. Repeat egg and bread crumb steps for extra crunch.

  • Heat oil in deep fryer or heavy skillet to 350°F (175°C).

  • Fry cheese balls in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  • Serve hot with marinara, ranch, or favorite dipping sauce.
