Ingredients
-
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
For the Glaze:
-
1/4 cup honey
-
2 tablespoons soy sauce
-
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
-
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or white wine vinegar
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for a citrusy touch)
-
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Grill:
-
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). Clean and oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
-
-
Make the Glaze:
-
In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, vinegar, minced garlic, and lemon juice (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
-
Grill the Salmon:
-
Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil on both sides and season with salt and pepper.
-
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness. The salmon should be cooked through but still moist, with an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
-
-
Apply the Glaze:
-
During the last minute of grilling, brush a generous amount of the prepared glaze over the salmon fillets. Allow the glaze to caramelize slightly, but avoid burning it.
-
-
Serve:
-
Remove the salmon from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter. Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of freshness.
