Ingredients

  • 8 ounces beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 8 ounces noodles (lo mein, rice noodles, or spaghetti)

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers

  • 1 cup snap peas or snow peas

  • ½ cup sliced green onions

  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions

  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and cook 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, add garlic, bell peppers, and snap peas; stir-fry 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.

  • Return beef to skillet. Add cooked noodles, green onions, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Toss to coat evenly and heat through.

  • Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, and lime wedges if desired.
