Description

The Lava Flow drink is a tropical showstopper made with fresh strawberries, creamy coconut, and sweet pineapple. Blended to create a signature layered “lava” effect, this island-inspired cocktail is perfect for summer parties or poolside relaxation

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1 small ripe banana

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice

  • 1/2 cup coconut cream

  • 1/2 cup crushed ice

  • 1 oz light rum (optional)

  • 1 oz coconut rum (optional)

Instructions

  • Blend the fruit layer: In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, banana, and pineapple juice. Blend until smooth. Pour into the bottom of a tall glass.

  • Blend the coconut layer: Rinse the blender and add coconut cream, ice, and rums (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy.

  • Create the lava effect: Slowly pour the coconut mixture over the back of a spoon into the glass with the strawberry mixture to create a lava flow appearance.

  • Serve immediately: Garnish with a pineapple wedge or strawberry, if desired.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rums and add more pineapple juice or coconut water. For a creamier texture, blend in a scoop of vanilla ice cream with the coconut layer.Swap strawberries for mango or mixed berries for a fun flavor twist.Serve in a hurricane or Collins glass for the best visual impact.
