Description

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Chicken Breasts are tender, juicy, and full of flavor with a golden-brown crust. This easy recipe combines simple ingredients and a searing technique to deliver perfectly cooked chicken every time. Whether you’re preparing it for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, this chicken will be the star of the meal!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Prepare the Chicken:
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Sear the Chicken:
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown. Do not move the chicken while searing to ensure a perfect crust.

  • Add Butter and Herbs:
Add butter to the pan, letting it melt. Spoon some melted butter over the chicken. If using thyme, add it now to infuse extra flavor.

  • Finish in the Oven:
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  • Rest the Chicken:
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  • Serve:
Optionally, drizzle with fresh lemon juice or garnish with additional fresh herbs. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

Variations: Add cayenne for spice, extra lemon for brightness, or make a creamy garlic butter sauce to drizzle over the chicken.Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.Reheating: Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in the oven at 300°F for 10 minutes to keep it moist.
