Description

Muddy Buddy Rice Krispie Treats are a fun, no-bake twist on the classic Rice Krispie treat. Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cereal:
    Measure 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into a large bowl and set aside.

  • Melt the Chocolate and Peanut Butter:
    In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter together, stirring frequently until smooth.

  • Mix in Vanilla:
    Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  • Combine with Rice Krispies:
    Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Krispies and gently stir until the cereal is well coated.

  • Coat with Powdered Sugar:

  • Press into a Pan:
    Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and press down gently to form an even layer.

  • Cool and Set:
    Let the treats cool at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until firm. Once cooled, cut into squares.
