Description

Peanut Butter Fritos Candy is a fun, no-bake treat that combines the salty crunch of Fritos corn chips with creamy peanut butter and rich milk chocolate. This easy, quick recipe delivers the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors, making it a crowd-pleaser for parties, snacks, or homemade gifts.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Fritos corn chips

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon butter (for melting chocolate)

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture:

    • In a large bowl, combine peanut butter and powdered sugar. Stir until smooth and thick.

  • Add the Fritos:

    • Gently fold the Fritos into the peanut butter mixture, making sure they’re evenly coated. Be careful not to crush them too much.

  • Melt the Chocolate:

    • In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt milk chocolate chips and butter together, stirring until smooth. Add vanilla extract if desired.

  • Coat the Fritos:

    • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter and Frito mixture, gently stirring to coat everything evenly.

  • Set and Chill:

    • Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the pan, spreading it evenly and pressing down lightly with a spatula.

    • Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until the chocolate sets and the candy is firm.

  • Cut and Serve:

    • Once set, cut the candy into squares or bars. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Add Nuts: Chop peanuts, almonds, or cashews and mix them in for extra flavor and crunch.Swap Chips: Use pretzels, potato chips, or crispy rice cereal instead of Fritos for different textures.White Chocolate Drizzle: Add a drizzle of melted white chocolate for added sweetness and a decorative touch.
