Description

These Best Fudgy Red Velvet Brownies combine rich chocolatey goodness with the iconic red velvet flavor. Topped with a luscious cream cheese swirl, these moist, fudgy brownies are perfect for special occasions or when you want to impress with a decadent treat.

Ingredients

    • For the Brownie:

      • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

      • 1 cup granulated sugar

      • 2 large eggs

      • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

      • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

      • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (unsweetened)

      • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

      • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

      • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    • For the Cream Cheese Swirl:

      • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)

      • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  • Prepare the Brownie Base:
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.

  • Make the Cream Cheese Swirl:
In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Assemble the Brownies:
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the cream cheese into the batter, creating a marbled effect.

  • Bake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). Be careful not to overbake to maintain that fudgy texture.

  • Cool and Serve:
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve!
