Ingredients
For the Rice Krispie treats:

For the watermelon flavor layers:

Red food coloring (optional, for the red layer)

Instructions

Prepare the Rice Krispie treats base:

In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Once melted, add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.

Stir in Rice Krispies cereal until well-coated with the marshmallow mixture.

Divide the mixture into two bowls, one for the red layer and one for the green layer.

Add color and flavor:

For the red layer, add a few drops of red food coloring and watermelon extract (or Jello powder). Stir until the color is even.

For the green layer, add green food coloring and mix to combine.

Assemble the Watermelon Rice Krispie Treats:

Press the red Rice Krispies mixture into the dish, then top with the green layer. Press it down gently.
